FELLOW OKLAHOMANS,

      I'm Bill Snyder, and I am working hard to represent you in the state legislature. Folks in Rogers County need a representative who isn’t afraid to fight for the people of Oklahoma's House District 9.

      I'm just a local boy who finally got sick and tired of complaining about roads and bridges, lack of support for public schools, health care and how this state treats people. I figured I needed to quit talking and start walking. That's what I've been doing for the last few months. I'm knocking doors asking folks what's on their minds because I want to go down to Oklahoma City and work on these issues with my constituents.

      My family has been in Oklahoma for four generations. I was born and raised here in District 9. As a lifelong resident of the district, I know the communities of Claremore, Oologah and Verdigris very well. Oklahoma was founded by folks who worked hard and believed in individual responsibility and liberty. I want to make sure we honor our past by protecting these values that made our state.

      When we started out this campaign, my fiancée called me “Snyder the Fighter” after I explained to her and my parents why I wanted to run for the state legislature. I'm going to fight for you in the state legislature. It is hard to sit back and watch the corruption and laziness of career politicians at the capitol and not want to stand up and fight to protect our values.

      When our roads need to be fixed, the politicians in Oklahoma City decide to pass a bill to issue new license plates. When families pleaded for help from our representatives to assist their children with autism, politicians decide to listen to the insurance companies. I cannot sit by and watch good Oklahomans go ignored. It is time that we put people first again.
